The furnace annealing of stainless steel
The furnace was used for the solution annealing of stainless steel press fittings made from material 1.4401. The heat treatment process was carried out at 1,060°C with a conveyor speed of 300 mm/min. The furnace loading was approximately 15 kg per meter of chain. The furnace was used for the normalizing of carbon steel press fittings at 950°C. Here as well, the conveyor speed was 300 mm/min, with a loading of approximately 8.4 kg per meter of chain, including the chain weight. The photos provided show a different furnace that is still in operation at our plant, processing steel press fittings with a nominal diameter of 18 mm.
